Editing another podcast and wondering if my desk will magically clean itself…

My New Year Resolution is to do my best to be more consistent with our Nature’s Image Farm YouTube channel and The Contrary Beekeepers Show podcast.
It’s a tough and tricky thing to try to balance the actual work of beekeeping with the sharing of doing the work of beekeeping. Usually one or the other suffers.
So I guess my desk will stay messy…and where did these Hi8 video tapes come from anyway?

From our hive to yours, Merry Christmas!!

The new woodshop at Nature’s Image Farm is start

The new woodshop at Nature’s Image Farm is starting to come along!
Today we got the vintage Delta radial arm saw and flip stop set up and got a lot of our cut off scraps reworked and finally started building sugar shims.
Sugar shims have really helped in overwintering here in Ohio and we’re already seeing the bees tear thru their stores.

It can get a little challenging when you really need to get a certain project done but you can’t move forward… not until you first finish a series of sequential tasks to just get started.
Getting the new woodshop to a place where we can atleast get to work has taken much longer than anticipated but it’s been well worth the wait.
It’ll take years to get it where we want it but we’re excited about the potential and are having a lot fun
dreaming, imagining and creating a space to create in.

We’re behind but it feels good to have enough tasks far enough along to atleast finish the sugar shims. I’d like to have had them on by now but…doing the best you can, with what you have is definitely something homesteaders are all too familiar with.
